Do chemical peels hurt?

Chemical peels are painless and do not require topical numbing. After the treatment, you may feel minor sensitivity, tingling, and redness. Your skin will peel for up to 7-10 days but this process happens naturally and should not hurt

When do I begin to notice the results from chemical peels?

Patients generally begin to notice the results in as little as 7 days after their skin completes peeling. Full results may be seen after 4- 6 weeks from the treatment

How long do the results last?

Results can last up to 3-5 months. For patients who want to target deeper skincare concerns such as hyperpigmentation and acne, we recommend an initial series of 3 sessions spaced out by 4-6 weeks. After these three initial sessions, patients can maintain the results by following up every quarter

Will my skin purge after the chemical peels?

Unfortunately, skin purging is unavoidable after any intensive skincare treatments with medical-grade products. It just means that the treatments are working! These treatments exfoliate your skin and increases natural cell turnover which also means that any blockages that were already beneath your skin would come to the surface. Your skin may temporarily get worse before it gets better. If you have important events and your skin is acne prone, you may want to hold off before the appointment

Is VI Peel safe for all skin types including darker skin?

A VI Peel is a medium depth peel that is safe and effective for ALL Fitzpatrick Skin Types. It combines medical grade peel formulation and boosters that work together to improve the tone, texture, and clarity of the skin
