Every patient leaves with complimentary sample products to ensure optimal results. Our licensed Laser Technician will discuss aftercare instructions so please follow them!

Is Co2 laser resurfacing treatment safe for all skin types?

Co2 laser resurfacing treatment is a very safe procedure if provided by experienced and trained laser technicians. However, it is not a great option for people with darker skin as the laser light can be absorbed by melanocytes (melanin-producing skin cells) and damage them, causing discoloration of either hyperpigmentation or abnormal skin brightening. For people with darker skin, we provide a variety of alternative treatments such as microneedling, chemical peels, BBL Hero, and Moxi depending on their skincare needs

Is the treatment painful?

CO2 laser resurfacing can be painful which is why we provide a topical numbing agent before the treatment. If you are concerned about the discomfort during the treatment, you can also take Tylenol one hour before the treatment to help ease the pain
After the treatment, your skin will scab, peel, and swell for up to 7 days following the treatment. Generally after 10 days, your skin should have mostly healed

How many treatments do I need to see full results?

Most patients only need one CO2 treatment to see results. However, some patients with deeper wrinkles or scarring may need multiple treatments to see results

When will I begin to notice the results?

You will begin to see results after 3-4 weeks once your skin is healed. Peak results can be seen 3-6 months after the initial treatment

How long do the results last?

Results from the treatment can last up to a year which is why we recommend annual treatments

Can I receive laser treatments in the summer time?

It is common belief that "laser season" begins in September and ends right before the summer time. This is because you have to avoid direct sunlight before and after the treatment to give your skin ample time to heal after the laser treatments. However, laser treatments can be done in the summer if you do not intend to go tanning and feel confident in avoiding direct exposure to sun in the summer months

Pre and post care

Use a gentle cleanser and avoid products that are potentially harsh for your skin including exfoliants and Retin-A for 30 days post treatment

Our approach

Patient education and effective pre and post-care are essential for successful results, especially for more intensive procedures such as the laser treatments. Each patient has unique skin and may be suitable for different treatments. This is why we always require a complimentary consultation before laser treatments to discuss the patient’s skin concerns and whether they would be good candidates for laser treatments.

Patients who are not suitable for the laser treatments will be notified during the consultation, and our practitioners will recommend alternative treatments. For suitable candidates, our licensed practitioner will schedule the treatment and carefully walk through all the important before and aftercare instructions.
