What causes pigmentation and redness?

Pigmentation and redness can be caused by a variety of factors, but the main ones are sun exposure, hormonal influences, and inflammation or skin injuries (for example, acne). It is important to consult with an experienced and trained practitioner to properly diagnose your conditions and design a customized treatment pan for you

Our approach

01  Get a personalized treatment plan

For skincare concerns related to pigmentation, we require patients to get a skincare consultation with our practitioner before booking the treatment. This is to ensure that our practitioner can spend time with you to learn about your skin type, concerns, and desired results. It also allows us to walk you through all the before and after care instructions to make sure that you can achieve the optimal results

02  Receive your treatments

Generally, BBL, Moxi, and Co2 lasers are considered the most effective treatments for pigmentation. BBL is great for treating hyperpigmentation, rosacea, and broken capillaries. However, BBL is not suitable for all skin types. For darker skin types, we usually recommend Moxi which can also treat melasma in addition to all the issues that can be addressed by BBL and provides more glow to your skin because it’s a fractionated laser. Co2 laser resurfacing is an aggressive yet powerful treatment for those who are trying to target multiple skincare concerns. It does come with some downtime compared to BBL and Moxi which can be done with very minimal downtime

03  Stay consistent

Most patients will need more than 1 session to achieve the desired results. We generally recommend at least 3 initial sessions spaced out by 4-6 weeks, depending on the individual patient. It is also important to listen to your practitioner on the before and after care instructions and use recommended skincare products to maintain the results.
