Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as the collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses thin needles to puncture the top layer of the skin. As the skin heals, it naturally creates collagen and elastin

Why we love microneedling:

— Stimulates collagen production and elastin
— Improves skin texture and minimizes pores
— Reduces the appearance of scars and stretch marks
— Quick and safe procedure with minimal downtime

Microfusion of Botox during microneedling can further boost your microneedling results by reducing pore size, minimizing oil production and excessive sweating, and creating a softer and smoother texture

FAQs

Q

Does microneedling hurt?

A

The technique may sound daunting for some, but it is a relatively simple procedure that does not involve much pain. We provide topical numbing 30 minutes prior to the treatment so most patients only feel mild sensitivity during and after the treatment

Q

When do I begin to notice results from microneedling?

A

Microneedling works by stimulating our natural collagen and elastin so the results can be slow acting but long lasting. Most patients notice brightening, tightening, and a more even skin texture about one to two weeks after their first session. For those who wish to treat deeper imperfections such as acne scars, results can be subtler, and additional treatments are usually required. We typically recommend an initial package of 3 sessions (spaced out by 4 - 6 weeks) to help patients realize optimal results. After the initial 3 sessions, microneedling can be done once every quarter for maintenance

Q

What should I expect from my microneedling treatment?

A

You will begin to notice a brighter and more even skin about one to two week after your first session but full results will not show until 4-6 weeks later because it takes time for our skin to naturally produce collagen and elastin. We recommend getting at least 3 sessions, spaced out by 4-6 weeks, which magnifies the collagen production over the 3-4 month period

Q

How long does microneedling last?

A

Results from microneedling can last 3 - 5 months. Depending on your skincare concerns, we typically recommend an initial package of 3 sessions (spaced out by 4 - 6 weeks) to help patients realize optimal results and then quarterly maintenance thereafter

Q

Will my skin purge after microneedling?

A

Unfortunately, skin purging is unavoidable after any intensive skincare treatments with medical-grade products. It just means that the treatments are working! These treatments exfoliate your skin and increases natural cell turnover which also means that any blockages that were already beneath your skin would come to the surface. Your skin may temporarily get worse before it gets better. If you have important events coming up and your skin is acne prone, you may want to hold off on the treatment till after the events
